TOPIC:     Legacy Planning: The Future of Wealth Management & Estate Planning

SPEAKER:      Daniel Scott, Esq., Scott Law PLLC.

The focus of the wealth management and estate planning industries has been largely focused on the creation of generational wealth. The expression “shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves   in three generations” is commonly used to describe the problem that wealth is traditionally made and lost in three generations. Despite individuals and families having wealth management advisors, estate planning attorneys, wills, trusts and other estate planning documents, as well as family offices, family limited partnerships and other sophisticated legal structures and vehicles, there is still a 70% chance that the wealth will be lost by the second generation and a 90% change it will be gone by the third. In other words, the wealth management and estate planning industries are statistically failing at accomplishing the goal of generational wealth. Learn how legacy planning and a more purpose-driven approach will not only solve the problem of generational wealth, it will increase your client’s overall happiness and sense of personal fulfillment.
