Part II - Life insurance in the secondary market. As planning changes, so does a client's insurance needs. Lawrence Adamo outlines the opportunities available to clients and outlines the value of life insurance assets in the secondary market (30 minutes).
Dennis McMahan
Dennis McMahan has played a central role with the development of M Financial Group’s exclusive private placement life insurance products since their inception in 2000. He provides marketing and product design support to M Financial’s Member Firms and under his oversight M’s private placement insurance suite has achieved nearly $6 billion in assets under administration. He also manages the Product Management team at M Financial, which provides competitive analysis in support of its M’s product development efforts and its Member Firms. Dennis also provides thought leadership on life insurance carriers and products by authoring knowledge and insight pieces for M Financial’s members and industry publications.
Prior to joining M Financial Group in 1998, he was an agent for BMA Assurance Company and a Registered Representative for Mutual of New York. Dennis received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Portland State University. He earned the CLU® designation from The American College

Lawrence has over 34 years of experience in the financial services industry and has earned numerous professional designations from the American College: Charted Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Registered Employee Benefit Consultant, Certified In Long -Term Care and Certified Fund Specialist. In addition, he serves as a board member for both the Women Like Us Foundation and the Metro Professional Network.
Before founding Adamo Insurance Services, Lawrence transitioned his financial planning equity practice to UBS to concentrate on the areas of maximizing tax-advantaged multi-generational wealth transfer and creating supplemental income not subject to ERISA limits. He also works with legal and tax professionals to assist business owners in transitioning their businesses through buy-sell agreements.
